Dr. Peter H. Tom has more than a decade of full-time hospital-based emergency practice and experience, and many years of experience as medical director of busy San Francisco area emergency departments.
He probably has more knowledge of healthcare law than any other practicing physician in Northern California. He has over a decade of experience as District Medical Consultant for the Division of Medical Quality, of the Medical Board of California. In that capacity, he serves on an exclusive panel of physicians which assists the State of California in assessing the quality of expert reviewer reports, irrespective of specialty, acting as the "experts' expert." He interacts on a weekly basis with attorneys representing physicians, as well as attorneys general representing the State.
