Dr. Knight evaluates children and adults who have neurological and/or psychological (emotional) injuries. Since 1980, she has served as an expert witness in civil, discrimination, and competence cases. She provides comprehensive examinations and narrative reports. She has been an expert witness in cases under the jurisdiction of state and federal courts throughout New York State as well as courts in New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
Her services include:
* Neuropsychological evaluations of brain injuries due to trauma, lead poisoning, or medical procedures.
* Learning disability evaluations for appropriate placements and accommodations in school such as for Attention Deficit Disorder and other learning problems.
* Psychological evaluations of victims of crimes and other psychic trauma (e.g. emotional reactions to motor accidents).
* Competence evaluations for criminal and child custody matters.
* Psychotherapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, and depression.
