After receiving his BS Degree, he became Head of the Farm & Ranch Division of the Trust Department of a large Texas bank and worked with over 500,000 acres in Texas and Louisiana, After earning his PhD, he became Associate Professor of Agronomy and Biochemistry at Mississiopi State University. He has been self-employed for over 20 years. Dr. Pluenneke chaired the national board that certifies Agronomists, Soil Scientists, Crop Scientists, Horticulturists, Plant Pathologists and Weed Scientists. He has extensive experience in investigation, expert witness work, aerial IR photogrphy and ohter techniques. Staff includes a Food Scientist, Entomologist, an additional Agronomist and others.
