Dr. Hester is a Board Certified for Diplomate in Forensic Psychology, Medical Psychology, Sexual Abuse and Disability Analysis. He has practiced in this field for 20 years. He was the Chief Clinical Psychologist and Director of a specialized unit of Dallas County MHMR which dealt exclusively with child abuse cases. He was a primary psychological consultant in the development of Dallas County Child Welfare's Sexual Abuse Program. In 1985 Dr. Hester initiated a process analysis procedure designed to identify issues of suggestibility and inappropriate methods of investigation in false child sexual abuse allegation cases and for insurance in defense of fabricated sexual harassment claims. He has rendered direct or supervisory services in over 1,500 sexual abuse cases, 3,000 custody cases and several hundred major felony cases including numerous capital murder cases. Dr. Hester also has a practice in behavioral medicine specializing in medically induced stress disorders, pain and emotional disability assessments, indentification of malingering and motivation for secondary gains and emotional traauma due to injury or medical malpractice. He works in a liaison capacity between legal and medical fields. He has rendered services to over 2,000 medical patients in worker's compensation, personal injury and Social Security disability cases. Dr. Hester works in conjunction with several medical pain management and physical rehabilitation specialists.
