Emeritus Professor of Recreation and Education: area and facility planning, design, operations, supervision, management, maintenance and safety. Twenty-two years field experience: recreation, park and school planning, leadership, supervision and administration. Nine years conducted playground safety training institutes for the National Playground Safety Institute throughout the U.S. to train Certified Playground Safety Inspectors. Thirty-one years research, planning, design, instructing and consulting: recreation, parks, playgrounds, play equipment, outdoor school P.E., play areas and facilities, recreation, sports, skate, bicycle and aquatic facilities and complexes, outdoor pre-school and day care facilities, community centers, tennis, interpretive, ski, and fitness facilities, campgrounds, marinas, lakes, beaches and rivers, picnic and day use areas, pedestrian and bicycle paths and trails, golf courses and risk management. Emphasis on planning, design, construction, operation, supervision, management and maintenance for optimum use, enjoyment and safety and to minimize risk/liability exposure in public, private and commercial education and recreation areas and facilities.
