Michael D. Lyman is a nationally recognized expert in police procedure with over 30 years experience as a senior criminal investigator, certified police trainer and professor of criminal justice. His extensive law enforcement career includes participation in over 600 felony arrests and testimony in over 250 criminal and civil court proceedings.

As a law enforcement educator he has been publishing in the area of policing for the past 20 years and has published five peer-reviewed books all dealing with police procedure. His books have been adopted by law enforcement agencies and are currently used by some of the nation's most prestigious colleges and universities.
