Engineering executive with 38 years experience in fastener and latch design and manufacturing. Extensive experience in materials behavior, stress analysis, and numerical modeling. Managed the research laboratories for three major Aerospace firms as well as oversaw all activities related to products liability and intellectual property. Co-invented and led the development of the post-9/11 terrorist-proof cockpit door decompression mechanisms presently in use on half the world's fleet of commercial transport aircraft. Founded a Sports Technology business within Textron Inc. with products used during the 1996 Olympic Games. Currently serving as Chairman of the FAA/DoD MMPDS Finite Element Analysis Working Group.
