Profile:
Professor Dayal has over 30 years of experience in the area of stress analysis and structural design. He currently teaches Finite Element Analysis, Composite materials, and Structural Design at Iowa State University. He is an expert in the area of stress and failure analysis of structures. He has wide experience in structures made of composite materials, such as fiberglass and/or carbon reinforced plastic. Failure of parts due to faulty design practices and manufacturing processes in composite materials is of interest to him. His other area of research is the failure analysis of structures made of composite materials using Ultrasonic Non-destructive methods.
