Profile:
Dr. Imber serves as a Professor of Special Education at Rhode Island College (30 years+).
He has served as a consultant/expert witness in federal, superior, and district family court forums and in several special education hearings.
He has been in private practice for more than 25 years. He has published nationally in Exceptional Children, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Behavioral Disorders, Journal of Learning Disabilities and LRP Annual Conference.
He has recently published an article entitled "Independent Educational Evaluations under IDEA-97: It's a Testy Matter in the fall, 2003 issue of Exceptional Children (with David Radcliff.) In addition, he is serving as a contributor to LRP Publications, Special EdConnection, The Insider's Guide. He has authored five articles on independent educational evaluations for LRP's on line web page.
He has presented papers at national proceedings including the Council for Exceptional Children, LRP's Annual Conference on the Law/Special Education, the Learning Disabilities Association Conference and the Young Adult Institute.
