Materials Management Co's founder, Michael Riess, taught trading management at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business for eight years. He has headed trading operations of International Fortune 500 Companies, managed a precious metals refinery and fabricating operations. He has been a member of several commodity exchanges, serves on the metals advisory committee of the New York Mercantile Exchange, is a director of the International Precious Metals Institute. He has published articles in trade journals and is a regular speaker at trade conferences.
