Mr. Closson is a mechanical engineer specializing in crane, rigging, aerial device and forklift equipment safety issues that include equipment design, condition, operation, training and accident investigation. He has provided management, training, consultation and litigation services to industry and government agencies for over 20 years.
He is a Vice-Chairman of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Committee on Cranes and Rigging, B30, which develops the safety criteria for all types of lifting and rigging equipment and that are incorporated into government and industry safety programs. He is a past Vice-President of the ASME Board that addressed the safety standards for forklifts.
