At the UCLA Trauma Psychiatry Service and otherwise, Dr. Murphy has specialized in the treatment and diagnosis of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for over 20 years. This makes her an excellent choice for an expert witness and evaluator in this area. As such she has worked for both plaintiffs and defendants in cases related to personal injury, sudden death, harassment, abuse, employment related problems, and allegations related to personal distress allegedly caused by a wide variety of events. She provides testing and in depth interviewing to ascertain the exact nature of the psychological, physical and overall life consequences pertaining to events in question. She provides these evaluations for both children and adults. Dr. Murphy conducted such interviews and provided data for children as young as 2 years old. She completes reports, provides mitigation consultation, and provides expert witness testimony as deemed necessary.
