Dr. Martin Moore-Ede, M.D., Ph.D. is a leading international expert on human fatigue and duty-rest regulations in transportation accidents involving the truck, bus, automobile, marine, rail (freight and passenger), public transit vehicles and aviation industries. As a professor at Harvard University he conducted pioneering reasearch for 25 years investigating the role fatigue plays as a leading cause of fatal and high cost accidents on highways, train derailments, collisions at sea and human errors in aviation. He has published 10 books and more than 140 scientific papers on human fatigue, errors and accidents, and the physiology of sleep deprivation and circadian rhythms.
