Hayden Burrus, FCAS, MAAA, is an accomplished casualty actuary with 20 years of experience. He is founder and principal actuary of HB Actuarial Services Inc. of Delray Beach, Fla. Formerly the president of the Casualty Actuaries of the Southeast, Burrus provides significant expertise in workers' compensation issues.

Recent assignments include:
* Actuarial reserve reviews for self-insured clients
* Actuarial forecasts of excess insurance recoveries for self-insured clients
* Expert witness support for numerous insurance related cases
* Expert actuarial analysis for the North American Cemetery Regulators Association

Burrus also is authorized to certify loss reserves for captive insurance companies by the Vermont and South Carolina Departments of Insurance.
