Forester and real estate appraiser with over 38 years of experience. As owner of Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc. Mr. Steigerwaldt directs daily business management for a staff of 22, including other certified appraisers, foresters, land managers, and right-of-way acquisition specialists. His appraisal experience in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota includes a wide variety of assignments including the appraisal of waterfront, recreation, and forest land, as well as conservation easements and appraisals of individual trees and landscaping. Mr. Steigerwaldt has qualified as an expert witness in court proceedings in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and California. He has also given numerous presentations covering real estate and tree appraisal. Since 1994, Mr. Steigerwaldt has worked extensively on appraisals of high voltage transmission line easements and has appeared as an expert witness on over 60 occasions in cases regarding the effect of high voltage transmission lines on property values. He is available for assignments in the United States and Canada.
