Dr. Maine is a board certified, Johns Hopkins trained anesthesiologist and Pain Medicine specialist. He currently serves as the Director in the Center for Interventional Pain Medicine at Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Maine has expertise in the management of acute and chronic pain conditions, utilization of opioids and other pain related medications, and the anesthetic care of patients (regional and general anesthesia). He specializes in treating patients with degenerative spine conditions, neuropathic pain (RSD, shingles, peripheral neuropathy), and cancer pain. Dr. Maine is experienced with numerous interventional treatment options including cervical/thoracic/lumbar epidural and nerve root injections, joint injections, radiofrequency ablation procedures, stellate ganglion/lumbar sympathetic blocks, spinal cord stimulation, and intrathecal catheter placement. Dr. Maine has also published several articles, abstracts, and book chapters in the field of pain medicine and anesthesiology.
