Dr. Marmur is a Professor of Medicine and serves as an expert witness for both plaintiff and defense counsel in medical malpractice cases.
Dr. Marmur is a high-volume angioplasty operator with expertise in all forms of percutaneous coronary and peripheral vascular intervention, including iliac, femoral, infrapopliteal, and carotid stenting. He is a cardiologist who corrects adult atrial septal defects (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) using Amplatzer.
Services
As a medical expert witness in cardiology, Dr. Marmur supports legal counsel in selected cases. He provides objective opinions and testimony based on his experience as a high volume practitioner of percutaneous coronary intervention and as an internationally recognized expert in atherosclerosis and blood clotting.
His expert witness services support the medicolegal process in all its phases, including evaluating whether the standard of care was met or breached, testifying in court, or assessing damages based on causation and presumed longevity.
Dr. Marmur also directs the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at the State University of New York (SUNY) Health Science Center at Brooklyn, a one-year program that is fully accredited by the A.C.G.M.E. (American Council for Graduate Medical Education).
