Profile:
Dr. Jeanne Murrone is a licensed psychologist with more than 35 years' experience in helping children and adolescents, college students, and adults make the most of their potential. She worked for 15 years as an elementary school teacher, as a school administrator, and as a remedial instructor for learning disabled individuals of all ages prior to pursing a career as a clinical psychologist.

Dr. Murrone earned a doctoral degree in psychology from Auburn University in 1989. Since then, she has worked as a Staff Psychologist for New York Foundling Hospital and, subsequently, for Carolinas Medical Center's Center for Mental Health. She has been working as a full-time private practitioner since mid-1995.

Dr. Murrone has been an adjunct faculty member of Marymount Manhattan College, LaGuardia Community College, and Winthrop University. She is a member of the North Carolina Psychological Association, the Society for Personality Assessment, and the International Dyslexia Association. She is credentialed by the Council for the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

Dr. Murrone specializes in the assessment of children from age four years through adults for AD/HD; learning disabilities; various information processing disorders, such as auditory processing or perceptual organization deficits; Mental Retardation or Borderline Intellectual Functioning; overall learning differences and overall intellectual competencies as related to legal situations or claims for disability benefits.
