Dr. Nawrocki has been practicing General Dentistry in the Long Island/ New York City area for over 25 years and is affiliated with the Suffolk County Medical Examiners as the Chief Forensic Odontology Consultant. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Forensic Odontology.

Dr. Nawrocki graduated from Cornell University in 1976 with a BS degree in Biology, and received a MA from the State University of New York at Buffalo in Human Anatomy and Histology in 1981. She completed her DDS at the State University of New York at Buffallo School of Dental Medicine in 1984. Dr Nawrocki is a Member and Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. She has served as a Board Member, Interim Secretary and is a Member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology and is Director of the Suffolk Society of Forensic Dentistry, which is a study group. She has lectured on Forensic Odontology to various organizations and is a visiting lecturer at the State University of New York at Stony Brook Dental School. Dr. Nawrocki is a member of Region 2 of DMORT (Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team). In 1996, she worked extensively on the TWA Flight 800 tragedy to help identify the deceased and also worked at the WTC doing the same. She serves as the 2012 Subcommittee Chairperson of the American Board of Forensic Odontology Mass Fatality Incident Subcommittee. She has reviewed cases and has testified in cases involving General Dentistry.
