Michael S. Schechter, MD, MPH, is Professor of Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Pulmonary at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. He is immediate past Chair of the Section of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP); Associate Editor, AAP Handbook on Pediatric Pulmonology; and previous Chair of the Pediatric Program Committee of the American Thoracic Society. He has been elected to the "Best Doctors in America" Registry yearly from 2005 - 2012. He is experienced in all kinds of neonatal and pediatric respiratory disease.
