Mr. Floyd retired from DuPont in 2014, after a 45 year career in engineering and safety. For more than 30 years, Mr. Floyd's responsibilities focused on electrical safety in the construction, operation and maintenance of industrial and commercial facilities worldwide. This included safety management systems, competency renewal, work practices, and the application of technologies critical to electrical safety performance. He is an adjunct professor in Advanced Safety Engineering and Management at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mr. Floyd has provided expert witness services since 2005. He is an expert in electrical engineering, workplace electrical safety, electric shock, arc flash, electrical safety management, electrical safety program, electrical codes and standards, OSHA and MSHA regulations, NFPA70E, National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, electrical injury, electrocution, electrical reliability, electrical maintenance, electrical construction, occupational electrical safety, safe electrical work practices, electric power systems, electrical testing instruments, and overhead power lines.
