Michael B. Lehner prepares business valuations for various purposes including shareholder disputes, matrimonial proceedings, acquisitions and sales of businesses, gift and estate planning, succession planning, and commercial litigation. He also has extensive experience in complex litigation matters, including determination of damages and lost profits, and fraud and forensic investigations.
Michael has assisted companies and attorneys in settling cases, served as an agreed upon neutral expert, and has also prepared reports and testified in court as an expert witness, for both commercial and matrimonial matters.
Michael works with divorcing spouses by valuing businesses for equitable distribution and determining true income for support purposes and assisting the parties to understand the tax and cash flow ramifications, as well as tracing separate assets.
Michael prepares lost profits and damage calculations and has participated in fraud investigations for privately-held companies.
Michael is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), where he was the Group Leader of the Business Valuation, Forensic & Litigation Services Interest Group, and is currently on the Steering Work Group.
