Dr. Ankush Bansal is a U.S.-trained, board-certified, internal-medicine physician working as hospitalist since 2007. He did his medical school training at Creighton University and his residency training at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware. He was on faculty at the University of Miami from 2010-11 but has continued to informally teach students and residents from various academic centers. He has worked at university centers and private hospitals, large and small, critical access to tertiary referral centers, in ten states. He has also been involved in teaching, patient safety, performance improvement, organized medicine, and policy issues. Dr. Bansal is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and senior fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine. He has also practiced telemedicine since 2011 and worked as an emergency department physician in the Veterans Affairs health system. Dr. Bansal's consulting and administrative work includes utilization review, peer to peer review and education of fellow physicians, retrospective and prospective chart reviews for medical necessity, resource utilization, and manuscript reviews. Dr. Bansal is interested in cost reduction through high- quality, up-to-date, evidence-based practice, process improvement, resource utilization, and policy changes. He is based out of the Palm Beach, FL region.
