Barry S. Kraushaar, MD, is dual board certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Kraushaar specializes in hip injury, arthroscopic repair, total hip replacement, joint preservation and replacement. Elbow injuries/surgery, knee injuries/surgery, knee meniscus cartilage, ACL/ knee ligament injury, shoulder injuries, shoulder instability and rotator cuff injuries, and fractures.
Dr. Kraushaar is an orthopedic surgeon with Northeast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (NEOSM) and the Medical Director, team physician and assistant clinical professor at Dominican College.
Dr. Kraushaar sits on the Board of Directors of the New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons. He was also the founding co-chairman of the Joint Replacement Center at Nyack Hospital.
Dr. Kraushaar has received the prestigious distinction as a Top Doc for the New York Metro Area by Castle Connolly consecutively from 2004 through 2017, has been named one of Hudson Valley magazine's Top Doctors six times between 2006 and 2017, and currently serves as the president of the Rockland County Medical Society (2017-2019).
Dr. Kraushaar is on the National Board of Counsilors of the the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2019-2022.
