Brian D. Ray Ph.D., National Home Education Research Institute

Dr. Brian Ray is an expert witness on homeschooling, homeschool, home education, private education, public schooling, and schooling in general. His four specialty areas are (1) education in general, (2) homeschooling education in particular, (3) educational and psychological measurement and evaluation, and (4) research methodology. Dr. Ray has served as an expert witness in over 70 court cases across the United States and Canada, and has given expert testimony to several state legislatures. Dr. Brian Ray has served in divorce, custody, and family issue matters and cases, and in cases that pit the rights of the state or government against those of parents and children. Dr. Ray has much knowledge and understanding of most all issues involving homeschooling. He can offer many references to you. Dr. Brian Ray’s Ph.D. is in science education from Oregon State University, and he is a former state-licensed classroom teacher.
