Dr. Charles S. Wade, formerly Charles S. Eisenberg, M.D. is a Board Certified Cardiologist and Internist. Commander Charles S. Wade is active duty military stationed in Portsmouth, VA at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. He is a local subject matter expert on cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging. Dr. Wade is experienced in health care systems, adverse event reviews, sudden cardiac death investigations and was a contributor to the return to sports/work policy after COVID Cardiomyopathy with the American College of Cardiology, where he is a Fellow (FACC). During the initial COVID outbreak, Dr. Wade was a hospitalist and consulting cardiologist in New York City. Dr. Wade has additional training and certification in Advanced Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Charles Wade, under the name Charles Eisenberg, published in a scholarly, peer reviewed journal on use of Cardiac Computed Tomography in patients with a history of Coronary Artery Bypass. He has presented at multiple national and regional conferences and is actively engaged in clinical practice and teaching on a daily basis. Other areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: cardiomyopathy, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, anticoagulation, hypertension, stroke, dyslipidemia, myocardial infarction and and is an Assistant Professor with experience teaching Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
