Expert witness for elder abuse cases involving Residential Care facilities for the Elderly. Owner/ operator of several Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly and experienced geriatric nurse. Familiar with regulatory compliance, standards of care, bedsores, falls, medication management, medical record review and elder abuse in Long Term Care Settings with emphasis on Assisted Living or Residential Care. Cyndy Minnery graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor's in Nursing in 1981 and became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 1986. She has worked as a Director of Quality Compliance in Skilled Nursing and Home Health Care. She owned and operated several Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly and is familiar with the Standards of Care expected of caregivers in these settings. Her facilities were chosen to participate in a national pilot for Interact 2 for Assisted Living. The program is designed to teach non-medical caregivers how to recognize change of condition in elderly clients. She is a Board Member of 6bed.org, was a Board Member of the San Diego Dementia Consortium and Chair of the Advisory Council for Community Care Licensing San Diego.
