Recognized by the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors as an AMS® since 2002. Prior to starting Zeitler Marine Services, my experience included 18 years as a marine inspector/casualty investigator for the US Coast Guard, 7 years as a principal surveyor for the Classification Society DNV GL, and as VP of Operations for a startup cruise line.
I have shipboard operational experience, extensive technical knowledge, and an impressive regulatory compliance record. I was qualified by the USCG to inspect and survey vessels of all sizes including small passenger vessels (water taxis, sightseeing boats, harbor launches, etc. constructed of steel, aluminum, fiberglass or wood), barges, and large cargo and passenger ships. As a Principal Surveyor for DNV GL, I was authorized to carry out annual safety and regulatory surveys on ships ranging from cargo ships to the largest cruise ships in the world.
