Jan Seaman Kelly has 30 years of experience in examining a variety of documents in civil and criminal cases. She has testified over 100 times during her career. Ms. Kelly is Past President of the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners (ABFDE), current Section Chair of the Questioned Documents Section of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS), member of the Forensic Document Examination sub-committee of the Organization of Scientific Areas Committees (OSAC) and the Academy Standards Board. Co-author and co-editor of "Scientific Examination of Questioned Documents" Second Edition, author of "Forensic Examination of Rubber Stamps", and author of numerous published articles. Fully equipped laboratory to examine handwriting, hand printing, typewriting, computer-generated documents, stamp impressions, and reconstruction of shredded documents. Signature and handwriting examination of all writers including the elderly, the in-firmed, and medically compromised writers. Recovery of obliterated, altered, and erased text, as well as recovery of indented writing on medical, business, or real estate documents, Wills, threatening notes, and contracts.
Footwear Impression evidence (footprint examinations) are also conducted to associate a shoe to a crime scene impression or to identify possible shoes that could have produced the crime scene footprint.
