John Huggard frequently acts as an expert in Finra Arbitration matters and court proceedings. John Huggard received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his master’s degree from Duke University and his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. John Huggard is a retired Alumni Distinguished Professor. He taught law and finance courses at a major state university for 30 years. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and the Retirement Income Certified Profession (RICP) designations. John has Finra licenses 62, 63, and 6. He has acted as an expert witness in many Finra arbitrations across the country. John has written several articles on investments and is the author of a book on variable annuities. John served as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant in Vietnam and later received a direct commission in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a Navy captain.
