Ken Trump provides experienced, accessible, timely and quality expert services to plaintiff and defense attorneys on preK-12 school safety and security cases.
Ken is experienced with wrongful deaths, assaults, assaults with serious injuries, sexual assaults, rapes, and other school crime cases. He can also assist with negligent security, foreseeability, premises liability, standard of care and related issues involving school shootings, violence, bullying, school police, school security guards or officers, school bus violence, gangs, and school crisis / emergency responses.
Ken served with the Cleveland City Schools' safety division, as a suburban school security director and as an assistant gang task force director. For more than 30 years he has trained and consulted with school and safety officials from 50 states and internationally.
Ken earned MPA and BA degrees from Cleveland State University, and has more than 2,500 hours of specialized training. He is the author, co-author and/or editor of three books, five book chapters and 450 articles on school safety. He appears regularly in national and international news.
Ken is a four-time invited Congressional witness and has also testified to numerous other public policy entities.
