Dr. Watkins is a cardiologist, retired from private practice in Port St Lucie, Florida in 2016. He currently works as a Cardiovascular Utilization Management Consultant for the insurance industry. He has served as an expert witness in medical malpractice litigation for cases involving several defendants and plaintiffs.
Dr. Watkins has over 35 years of experience in the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease, including intensive care, coronary intervention and noninvasive cardiology, including echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Watkins has served as a subject matter expert in cardiovascular cases, providing opinion and testimony, relying on evidence-based practice and national guidelines.
