Mr. Duntemann provides expert analysis and opinions on tree-related injuries, fatalities and property damage cases. Opinions focus on both tree assessment procedures and tree risk management policies. He analyzes the presence of observable and/or detectable structural issues in subject trees. Mark also analyzes system-level policies on managing tree risk. He has provided opinions in over eighty tree-related cases. Mark presents internationally at conferences and workshops. He advises government agencies and private companies on tree risk management issues. He has authored several articles on hazard tree assessment processes and co-authored the 10th Edition of the International Society of Arboriculture's Plant Appraisal Guide. He is currently contracted to author a book on tree risk management for an Italian publisher. Mark has provided critical review of tree risk assessment and management publications for professional and government agencies. He is an ISA-Board Certified Master Arborist, a Registered Consulting Arborist and maintains Qualifications in tree risk assessment and plant appraisals. Additionally, he is a certified instructor for both Qualifications. Mark has a Master of Science in Urban Forestry and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry. Finally, he has completed a post-graduate certificate course in risk assessments from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health.
