Matthew Roetter is a fenestration (window and door) expert witness and class action work consultant. He is the foremost fenestration expert in the United States based on the number of his class action cases, 20 years as an expert witness and working 16 years in fenestration industry. He provides services nationally and internationally to consumers, attorneys, insurance companies, architects, contractors and manufacturers. Services offered are expert witness testimony, site inspection, report writing, destructive forensic analysis, fraud investigation, personal injury investigation, products liability investigation and work consulting.

Common fenestration issues are water infiltration, premature wood rot, sealant failure, seal failure, inert gas loss, manufacturing defects, design defects and installation defects.

Matthew is past member of the American Institute of Architects as a Professional Affiliate. To become an AIA Professional Affiliate, he was recommended by at least three AIA architects.

He also serves on the Idaho Board of Medicine Medical Malpractice Prelitigation Panel which is a Grand Jury for Idaho medical malpractice lawsuits.

Matthew produced opinions of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings after review of the Connecticut State Attorney General's investigative report. Suggestions were offered to change glass codes which would provide more protection to students while in school. (LINK:

In 2016 Matthew was retained in a window and door breach of warranty claim by The Irvine Company, LLC in a case against Milgard Manufacturing. The Irvine Company is one of the largest developers in the world.

Matthew has never been disqualified as a fenestration expert witness and works for either the Plaintiff or Defendant. His cases include Pella, Marvin, Andersen, Kolbe & Kolbe, Windsor, Lincoln, Jeld-Wen, Milgard, Hurd, Weather Shield, Lindal, MW and others.
