Dr. Fogelson is Board Certified in Obsetrics and Gynecology since 2005, after both general OB/GYN training and a fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery. His practice is limited to Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
Dr. Fogelson lectures on a national level and teaches locally in the Pacific Northwest. He was previously the Chief of Gynecology for Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, and a professor at Emory University, until transitioning to a successful surgical practice in Portland, OR.
In expert witness work, Dr. Fogelson focuses on interpreting difficult medical information in light of both typical and expert care, as well as thorough exploration of the academic literature as it may pertain to a given case. Dr. Fogelson also offers insight into cases that occur within an academic environment, and how the involvement of trainees and care supervision may affect a case.
Dr. Fogelson offers consultation, case review, as well as deposition and testimony for both defense and plaintiff attorneys. His areas of expertise include standards of care in open, laparoscopic, and robotic gynecologic surgery, bowel and urinary tract injuries, issues surrounding family planning and termination of pregnancy, as well as outpatient gynecology.
