Peter G. Wernicki, M.D., F.A.A.O.S has been in private practice for 24 years. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at Florida State University College of Medicine. He is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Wernicki is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Rutgers Medical School. He completed his Orthopedic Residency at Union Memorial and Johns Hopkins. He then went on to complete two fellowships in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Wernicki has used his orthopedic knowledge and experience to extensively consult on litigation, medical record reviews, expert opinions and performing IME's and CME's. He has worked in all aspects of the medical-legal arena for plaintiffs, defense, hospital peer review and workman's compensations carriers. He makes sure he understands all the issues involved in each case, conducts a thorough review or exam and then presents his evidence based opinions in a clear and concise manner.
Dr. Wernicki is also an internationally recognized expert and consultant on Lifesaving Medicine and Drowning Prevention. He is the Aquatics Chair of the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Committee, the Medical Chair for the International Lifesaving Federation and the Medical Advisor for the US Lifesaving Association.
