Dr. Steven Feinberg is a physiatrist and pain medicine specialist providing treatment and he has an active independent medical examination (IME) practice. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor and teaches at the Stanford University Pain Service. He has particular expertise in complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS - RSD) and in other problematic and difficult chronic pain cases. Dr. Feinberg can be helpful in determining case value, liability, an accurate diagnosis, and future medical care needs.
Dr. Feinberg is a past president (1996) of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM). He served from 2009 to 2017 on the Board of Directors of the American Chronic Pain Association and is senior author of the yearly updated ACPA Resource Guide to Chronic Pain Treatment. Dr. Feinberg served as the Panel Chair for the 2017 ACOEM Chronic Pain Guidelines update. He served as a Medical Reviewer for the ACOEM 2014 Opioid Guidelines. He served as a Reviewer for the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 6th Edition. He is on the AMA Guides Newsletter Advisory Board ongoing.
