Dr. Susan Rice has been engaged in litigation support for both plaintiff and defense since 1990. She focuses on causation supported by scientific and medical evidence. Formerly, she was a professor at Stanford University School of Medicine performing laboratory research related to anesthetic toxicity and drug interactions; training medical students and anesthesia residents; and collaborating with MDs in clinical research.
Dr. Rice is a board certified toxicologist (DABT) with a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology and a BS in Biochemistry. Her litigation-related experience is varied covering drug interactions; toxic torts; product liability; and pharmaceutical patent infringement. The agents involved include pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, herbal products, metals, pesticides, solvents, chemicals, and silicone. In other work, she assists pharmaceutical and medical device companies in preclinical regulatory submissions to FDA and other agencies.
Dr. Rice has been deposed and has testified in courts at the local and federal level.
